I'm so glad you're here.

Music and education have been at the heart of my journey for many years. As a music educator with over 15 years of experience, I have had the privilege of helping students discover their abilities, develop confidence, and experience the joy of making music.

Hello, I'm Dr. Nora Hernández

A woman in a black blazer and black pants standing against a plain wall, smiling with her right hand on her hip.

My professional journey has taken me from the middle school choral classroom to elementary music education and higher education. One of my most memorable experiences was leading my middle school students to perform at Carnegie Hall, a milestone that reflects the extraordinary opportunities music can create.

Today, I serve as an elementary music educator and adjunct professor at Biola University, where I have the opportunity to prepare future educators to bring meaningful musical experiences into their own classrooms.

I earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University, and in 2023, I was honored to receive the Country Music Association Foundation's Music Teacher of Excellence Award.

Beyond the classroom, I am also the co-founder of Harmonies of Grace Music Studio, where I share my passion for music through private instruction, musicianship development, and musical exploration.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: music education builds more than musicians. It cultivates confidence, creativity, and character.

I believe in creating learning environments where individuals feel safe, supported, challenged, and inspired to grow.

The Heart Behind Melody of Grace

Melody of Grace was born from a desire to bring together my passion for music, education, faith, and creativity in a meaningful way. I strive to live a life rooted in purpose and a commitment to excellence, with the hope of encouraging others to recognize their potential, pursue their aspirations, and make a positive difference in the lives of those around them.

As a conductor, I've learned the importance of understanding a composer's intentions and bringing the music to life. I see a similar beauty in life's journey. We may not always know what the next measure holds, but we can move forward with faith, purpose, and trust, striving to create something meaningful along the way.

More recently, I've embraced writing as a meaningful way to share my story and the lessons I've learned along the way. In addition to developing educational curriculum, I am currently pursuing traditional publication of my first children's book. Inspired by my own journey, my hope is to encourage young readers to find their voice, believe in their potential, and embrace who they are meant to be.

Through education, presentations, writing, and future creative projects, I look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and share the experiences that shape my story.

Thank you for being part of my journey. I look forward to sharing the chapters still to come.

Warmly,

Nora Hernández, Ed.D.
